University of Exeter Sanctuary Scholarship for International Students: The University of Exeter is pleased to inform the public of its Sanctuary Scholarship application for the 2020/21 academic session for international students. The scholarship scheme is to support individuals seeking asylum and refugees who cannot access student finance to study at the University of Exeter.
The Sanctuary scholarship is for both undergraduate and postgraduate students who are willing to advance their educational career in an institution of higher learning with a track record of academic and research excellence.

Scholarship level: Undergraduate and Doctoral studies
Scholarship Worth: Undergraduate awards includes a full tuition fee waiver plus a grant for living costs of £9500 for each year of study. Doctoral studies award include a full tuition fee waiver plus an annual living cost grant of £15,009, a research allowance of £5000 per year.
Subject Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate degree programmes and Full-time Doctorate level programmes are eligible. BMBS Medicine and any taught or research masters programmes are not eligible

Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be considered for the University of Exeter Sanctuary Scholarship for International Students, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants are to meet the academic requirements for their chosen programme of study for them to be admitted in the University of Exeter.
- Applicants have left care in the UK and are assessed as international for tuition fee purposes and are not eligible for funding via Student Finance England.
- Applicants for the doctoral scholarship must have obtained good relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised university of its equivalent.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong academic and leadership potential and must be able to abide by the rules governing the conducts of students at the University of Exeter.
Application procedure for the University of Exeter Sanctuary Scholarship for International Students
Applicants are encouraged to first apply fort admission at the University of Exeter before applying for the Sanctuary Scholarship. Applicants are to look up information on applying for undergraduate and postgraduate study. All applications for the Sanctuary Scholarship must be made online.
Applicants will be required to upload proof of their immigration status and a reference. Postgraduate research applicants will be required to include a research proposal in their applications together with other supporting documents.
